Reception Class J

It has been lovely to meet all of the new Reception children over the past week and they are already settling in well.

Our main focus to begin with is helping the children to settle in and begin to learn the new classroom routines.

Here is some more information about Reception Class and what we are planning to learn in the first half of the Autumn term.

During the first few weeks we will begin sending home reading books and homework – more information will be sent to you nearer the time.

Children will need to bring in a bottle with water (not juice) clearly marked with their names, so that they can help themselves to a drink when they need one.

We are now able to use our fabulous outdoor classroom and we try to get outside in all weathers. Please could your child wear a suitable waterproof coat to school and bring wellies that can be left on their pegs – we do like to play in the water and sand and we want to avoid soggy feet!

Many thanks for your continuing support.
