Tuesday 14th July

LO: To write my own 'In the Summer' poem.

Today we will be focussing on 'A bay in Anglesey' and 'In the Summer' poems, which are both uploaded below and have also been uploaded to Purple Mash.

This is set as a 2Do on Purple Mash:

First, read 'A bay in Anglesey' aloud to someone at home, or even to yourself. How does this poem make you feel? Why do you think it makes you feel this way?

Then, read 'In the Summer' aloud. How does this poem make you feel? Why?

Which poem do you prefer? Why?

You should have a list of things that you like to do in the summer holidays, at home and when away on holiday, that you wrote yesterday.

Use your list to help you to write your own 'In the Summer' poem.
