Friday 5th June

 

 

LO: To write my own story starter for 'the Watchers' image.

 

Story Starter. Look back on all the work you have completed this week: 

- Your 'Question Time' answers,
- Your ​description of the picture using similes and metaphors,
- Your improved 'sick sentences', 
- Your what happens next including at least two complex sentences.

 

Today, you are going to draw it all together by writing your own 'Story Starter' for the Watchers image.

This is set as a 2Do on Purple Mash.

 

 

 

*Remember to practise your spellings too and test yourself!

Spellings to practise this week are adding -ly to root words ending in ‘le’, ‘ic’ and ‘y’.

Wednesday 3rd June

 

1. Practise your new spellings for this week. Add the suffix -ly to root words ending in ‘le’, ‘ic’ and ‘y’. See the 'Spellings' tab for the root words and spelling rules.

 

 

LO: To edit and improve simple sentences, adding detail and description.

 

2. Sick Sentences! The sentences are very poorly (and rather boring!) Can you improve them to make them better (and much more interesting!)
