Revise adding the suffixes ‘-ed’, ‘-ing’, ‘-s’, ‘-es’, ‘-ness’, ‘-ful’, ‘-less’ and ‘-ly’ to the following words:
Remember the rules:
• A short vowel means you must double the consonant.
• If the root word ends in ‘-e’ this is dropped when adding a suffix beginning with a vowel letter (the exception in ‘being’).
