Year 4

Year 4 Easter Break

I'd like to say a massive well done to all the children who have worked so hard under very challenging circumstances. Thank you to all the parents and carers for your fantastic support and wonderful messages.

Please find below a menu of optional activities families may wish to try out over the fortnight. Click on this link for more cracking Easter crafts and fabulous family worship ideas. Our online classes will start up again on Monday 20th April. In the meantime, stay safe and have fun!

In Year 4, we think times tables are cracking! Why not play on TT Rock Stars, try out the Easter multiplication colouring sheets (see below) or even design your own times tables board game on paper? You could even give it an Easter theme!

We are all hopping mad about reading! As well as reading for pleasure, why not hop over to Read Theory and Oxford Owl? Please find below some Easter-themed comprehension activities. You can write your answers on paper and check your answers.

Get into the kitchen and make these eggcelent recipes with a grown up! Please find more recipes below the picture.

Click on the picture to get instructions for how to make a beautiful origami tulip card. There's also a file below with a template for some eggceedingly cute Easter animal cones. Sorry, I'll stop with the Easter puns now - they're not even bunny.

Thanks Miss Knobbs for this wonderful idea! Get into the garden! Click on the file below the picture to find out how to make your own Resurrection Garden.

How is Easter celebrated in France? With flying bells! Find out why in this video. There's a file with a colouring page to print off below or you could draw your own Easter bells.

Purple Mash Support

Support in the form of videos can be found by clicking on the links below.

A printable copy is at the bottom of the page should you need it. Children in school have already been taught how to access the activities set by their teacher and so should be familiar with this. Please note the home screen on your computer will look slightly different as we are using the most up-to-date version, but all menu items still work in the same way.

2dos and feedback can also be found by using the Alerts tab on the menu which looks like this:-

For further support please contact your class teacher in the first instance. Passwords can be found on the parent letter that was sent when we registered your child or inside their planners. (Inside home learning folders for Nursery and Reception)

A video to support parents to access the parent portal.  A user guide with video links to support children in accessing their learning tasks, including how to submit work to the teacher for marking.
