Year Two

Hello everyone, 

I am so excited to see you all back in September. We have missed all of your smiley faces. I hope that you have stayed safe and well during these tricky times. We'd normally spend a little bit of time getting to know each other better, so I thought I could tell you a little bit about myself. 

My name is Mrs Mellor. I am the Vice Principal and the Year Two teacher. 

Hobbies: I love to run along the canal by my house, cook, bake, read and go for big walks with my family, especially in the Lake District. I love to travel and have had the opportunity to live in New York and Wales. 

My Favourite colour is purple; I love how vibrant and bold it is.

My favourite foods are Spaghetti Bolognaise or Pizza.

My favourite book is a really tricky thing to pick, as there are so many. I love JK Rowling's Harry Potter stories, Roald Dahl- especially Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Julia Donaldson and Michael Morpurgo.

 

During the Autumn Term our Vehicle is called Fire!Fire! We are going to be exploring all about Fire and it's uses, for example how we can use fire to make a meal or bake. We will be working with The Fire Service to explore how their jobs work too. 

I know that we are going to have tremendous fun using our enquiring minds to explore some really interesting information.
