Year 3 have been to Morrisons!
Thu 21 Mar 2024Year 3 had a wonderful time visiting Morrisons this week as part of their ‘Happy and Healthy’ vehicle. They made their own healthy pizzas, scanned their shopping on the tills and received a tour of the wonderful market street produce. A great day was had by all and we loved eating our pizzas with our loved ones. Thank you for a great afternoon Morrisons!!

Year 3 Trip to the Potteries Museum!
Tue 19 Mar 2024On Thursday 14th March, Year 3 had a wonderful time on their class trip to the Potteries Museum to learn about life in the Stone Age to the Iron Age! We got to see real Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age artefacts, some which were found by archeologists in Leek! We made prehistoric pots and decorated them based on our observations of real Stone Age pottery artefacts. What a great day we had!

Year 3 have created their own writing chair, inspired by Roald Dahl!
Thu 07 Mar 2024As part of our World Book Day celebrations in Year 3, we have looked at Roald Dahl's writing chair and writing hut. We even decided to create our own version in our classroom. Did you know Roald Dahl kept 6 sharpened pencils and a cup of coffee by his side, whilst he was writing some of our favourite novels? Take a look at our artwork and writing!

World Book Day 2024
Thu 07 Mar 2024As part of the celebrations we shared the book Mr Potato, which was read and performed by some of our wonderful staff, the children LOVED it! Each class recited a poem; our amazing y6 Librarians read with KS1; classes talked about their books in the Big Book Swap and we ended the day with a Buddy Read event! We've had a great day. There will be more pictures to come, showcasing our day.
