  • Years 5 and 6 visit to London!

    Years 5 and 6 visited London last week to explore all about DEMOCRACY and visit some of the key sights of our capital city. 

    As part of the visit, the children took the tube (three times) and travelled via train instead of coach or bus. 

    This was a first for many children!

    They were also able to speak to Parliamentary experts to discuss how laws are made and heard.

  • KS2 Carol Concert

    All of KS2 performed in the Carol Concert this afternoon. They told the Nativity story beautifully and then finished with some old Christmas favourites that we all know and love. Well done everyone, you were all AMAZING!

    Today Reception blew everyone's socks off with their amazing performance of 'Wriggly Nativity'. 

  • Year 4 Viking day!!

    On Friday year four took part in a very exciting Viking day. The children enjoyed a wide range of activities, including making a Viking amulet, making their own burger, cooking burgers on a fire and they even made their own small fires!

    The children did St Mary's proud as their behaviour was absolutely wonderful. Well done Year 4, I am so proud of you all!

  • Year 3 Trip to Gladstone Pottery Museum

    Year 3 had a fantastic day at Gladstone Pottery Museum on Thursday! They looked at how people would have travelled by horse and cart during the Industrial Revolution and the invention of the steam engine. They then looked at how pottery would have been made and the skills needed to be a thrower. We then ventured inside a bottle kiln and finished the day with a bone china flower workshop.

  • Y6 Volunteering at John Hall Gardens

    The children planted seeds for the wellbeing community garden and created seasonal bouquets which will be sold to raise money for the charity Rethink Mental Illness. Well done Year 6! Your giving back to the community has been fantastic this term, we are incredibly proud of you.

  • Year 6 volunteering at Leek Food Bank

    Our wonderful Year 6 class spent the morning bagging up food parcels for families, organising the stock room and checking in donated items. They were kept extremely busy and learnt a lot about food, how to avoid food waste and money management.

  • Memory Bottles

    What an amazing showcase! Our fantastic children have worked so hard on their memory bottles. Please do pop by the Nicholson Museum to see how brilliant they all look! Thank you to all of our wonderful families for your help with this project!
